Light Trailer Plates.On Janurary 1st, 2010, the State of Wyoming introduced a new law. Light weight trailers, those weighing under 1,000 lbs, will now be required to have a title for the purpose of obtaining a new registration. This only applies to new purchases, as light trailers that are only being renewed are not required to have a title. The Clerks Office has the applications needed for any persons needing a state assigned VIN if the trailer does not currently have one.
