Wyoming License Plates 
The County Treasurer's Office issues license plates for all vehicles except those that have
commercial apportioned plates, which are issued by the Wyoming Department of Transportation.
Different types of vehicles require different plate types. Available plate types are:
PASSENGER
TRUCK
COMMERCIAL
MOTORCYCLE
TRAILERS
LIGHT-WEIGHT TRAILERS
HOUSE TRAILERS
HANDICAPPED

Vehicles designed to carry 10 persons or less and primarily used to transport people,
including ambulances and hearses but excluding motorcycles. Motor homes and school buses
use passenger plates but get special designations on the registration.
Vehicles designed, used or maintained for the transportation of property, including pickups and cargo vans.
Power units having 2 axles and a gross vehicle weight exceeding 26,000 pounds, or
a vehicle with 3 axles regardless of weight, or a vehicle used in combination when the
combination exceeds 26,000 pounds.
Vehicles having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider including 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers,
and scooters.
Vehicles without propelling power designed to be drawn by a motor vehicle. There
are several types of trailer plates issued. The full-size trailer plate is for trailers
over 1,000 pounds.
Trailers having an empty weight of 1,000 pounds or less.
A trailer built as a dwelling place, that is equipped to travel on streets and
highways and is less than 8 1/2 feet wide.
Plates obtained by having a physician complete a form that can be obtained from the State's Driver's
License office.
Vehicles displaying handicapped plates may legally park in handicapped designated
areas.
