State Fair with a Twist..(er). A full scale exercise.
CCEMA is hosting a fullscale exercise on Friday, September 7th, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The exercise will be at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds. We will be simulating a large-scale evacuation from the grandstands due to a tornado warning. We will also simulate rescues from damaged campers, injuries, and a separate civil disturbance from protesters. Volunteers will be filling roles of spectators, injured victims, and protestors. Please wear older clothes that you do not mind getting stained.
Our agency is required to carry Workers comp on volunteers participating in the exercise for that day. Volunteers will be required to fill out the volunteer information sheet in order to participate.
We will be providing lunch so we will be needing a head count by Tuesday, September 4th, 2018. Interested volunteers, please RSVP to CCEMA at 38-6880 or email@example.com. Volunteers will need to meet behind the grandstands at the fairgrounds. Parking will also be available behind the grandstands.
If you have anyone that would be interested, please contact Converse County Emergency Management at 358-6880 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
